The best of UK architecture - RIBA Stirling Prize best of the week

We are dedicating the best of the week news to the winners of the RIBA awards, announced on the 15th October 2015, interesting designs covered by some of Floornature news. The 20th edition of the RIBA Stirling Prize was won by Burntwood School designed by the Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) architecture studio.
The design transforms, enlarges and reinvents a campus created in 1950, preserving just a few of the original buildings, including the Assembly Hall designed by architect Leslie Martin.
This news from Floornature contains the list of Riba Stirling Prize finalists for 2015.

The Fishing Hut designed by Niall McLaughlin Architects won the Stephen Lawrence Prize and was praised for its perfect harmony with its natural setting. Floornature also presented other finalist designs for the award.

TheClient of the Yearaward, which recognises how important a good client is for good architecture, went to The National Theatre in London, designed by the Haworth Tompkins studio.
Finally, we would like to remind you that architect Zaha Hadid, received the Royal Gold Medal 2016, the first woman in the history of the award to receive this recognition given to architects who have had a notable influence, "whether direct or indirect, on the progress of architecture".
