Work continues on Casa Capriata: a research project conducted by the Department of Architectural Design and Industrial Design at Turin Polytechnic to create an energy-efficient sustainable building based on a design by Carlo Mollino.

Carlo Mollino – Casa Capriata – Sustainable architecture Casa Capriata is a research project conducted by the Department of Architectural Design and Industrial Design at Turin Polytechnic with the Municipality of Gressoney Saint Jean, the Order of Architects of the Province of Turin and the OAT Foundation. Working on the basis of the original design by Carlo Mollino prepared for the 10th Triennale in Milan in 1954, the study group led by architect Guido Callegari has primarily preserved its character of experimentation with innovative materials and techniques. Aiming for consistency with the criteria behind Mollino’s original design, they proposed technological and structural solutions in agreement with the standards specified by the Casa Clima class A gold protocol, introducing innovative components and systems for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
