FA 2014 - Festa dell'Architettura - Forlì

The first Festa dell'Architettura is coming up September 26 through 28 2014. The "festa" organised by the Order of Architects of the Province of Forlì - Cesena and APP_A Associazione Progetto Promozione Architettura (a cultural association of architects concerned with event organisation and obligatory education) is intended to get local authorities and institutions, professionals and enterprises involved in architecture, and above all to give ordinary citizens a voice in the transformations underway in the places they live in.

The packed calendar of events opens with exhibitions with the involvement of students, professionals and citizens, as well as an exhibition of the projects selected for the prize for architects, enterprises and clients. The exhibition entitled “Reuse. The architectural studios’ response. Studios in the province of FC on exhibit” offers a concrete demonstration of how architecture permits regeneration. The Reuse exhibition is set up in container units placed in Piazza Guido da Montefeltro, an under-used public space which will itself be reused as a meeting-place for discussion about architecture and a sort of urban lounge hosting evening events September 26 through 28.
Reuse of the city is the subject of a conference scheduled for September 27 under the title: “Reusing the City: From Reuse to Consumption of zero ground”, with the participation of highly qualified speakers presenting concrete examples of good practice.
A conference on "The Possible Contemporary: Four examples of Italian architecture" with the participation of Giacomo Borella (studio Albori), Cherubino Gambardella (Studio Gambardellarchitetti) and Stefano Pujatti (studio Elasticospa), mediated by Luca Molinari, and the awards ceremony will conclude the first Festa dell'Architettura on September 28.
