Exhibition on the art of construction in Spain

The exhibition underway at the Real Academia de España in Rome is the results of a research project conducted by Ricardo Santonja at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM).

The project began with study of the potential of photography as a medium for the promotion of architecture, going so far as to define a new discipline concerned with the individuality of the image. By moving the camera, Ricardo Santonja creates pseudo-graphic abstractions which have been called “Light Poems” by the President of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, D. Juan Miguel Hernández de León.

The image supports the work of architecture and evokes emotions, in the light of which we can understand the architecture as a whole and specifically appreciate the avant-garde architecture produced by famous Spanish and international architects in recent years in Spain.
