The clients bought an old clothing store on the outskirts of Oporto and asked to convert the space into a real estate agency, with only 10000 Euros and four weeks available. Of course the brief required the interiors to have a bold identity, as this would be the flagship store in a chain.

Architects sometimes find themselves working in difficult conditions, but they must not become discouraged, and do the best they can with the tools at their disposal. And so white became the dominant hue, the spaces were opened up and dividers made of different types of marble were added, all in hues of green to promote branding.

It is the slabs of marble that are the key to the interiors, at least when it comes to the colour scheme. The other element characterising the project is the round opening at the back of the store, joining the meeting room with the rest of the store and letting in natural light. Despite the modesty of the resources available and the small size of the space, the architects definitely managed to give the space a bold identity of its own.
