Zaha Hadid Architects and ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) have unveiled their plans for the Beijing New Airport Terminal Building, which will make Beijing the world’s large airport.

The design concept for Beijing New Airport Terminal Building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) has been unveiled.
Only 6 years after the opening of Terminal 3, Beijing airport has already exceeded its capacity; the new terminal due to be completed in 2018 will make it the world’s biggest airport.

Designed in compliance with the principles of sustainability and energy conservation, the new terminal will have a flexible configuration permitting daily adaptation to air and passenger traffic conditions.
The project by Zaha Hadid Architects and ADP Ingénierie will be integrated with local and national railways to become a key hub in Beijing’s transportation grid and the region’s economic development.
