The final stage in the Alto Adige Prize for Architecture competition closed on November 21 with the announcement of the winners’ names at the architecture festival, including the winner of the Special Award of the Public, elected online.



Winners of the Alto Adige Prize for Architecture

The winners of the Alto Adige Prize for Architecture were announced at an awards ceremony held at the Festa dell'Architettura or Architecture Festival in Bolzano on November 21. The panel of judges including Adolfo Natalini, Tom Vack and Axel Simon awarded the first prize for the 2013 competition to Centro parrocchiale Madre Teresa di Calcutta, a parish centre in Bolzano named after Mother Teresa and designed by architect Siegfried Delueg, which also won the “Public” award.

These are the award-winning projects in the various different categories: Transformation and expansion of the Nalles Magrè winery, Nalles, by architect Markus Scherer, "Office & Industry" category. Merano 2000 cable car by architect Roland Baldi, "Tourism" category. Casa Burger Oberschmied, Monguelfo, architect Stefan Hitthaler, "Interior" category Bressanone-Varna ring road, architects MoDus Architects, "Open spaces" category Castello di Brunico - Messner Mountain Museum Ripa, architects EM2 Architekten, "Renovation" category

The project chosen by the public is Casa Pliscia 13 in Pieve di Marebbe, designed by Pedevilla Architekten, which also won the prize in the “Housing” category.
