Triptyque revamps the Galerie Lefebvre in Paris

Romain Lefebvre commissioned French-Brazilian architecture firm Triptyque to revamp Galerie Lefebvre, his Art Déco gallery on Quai Voltaire.
The space had already been renovated a number of times and it needed to be brought together to meet contemporary needs, without making radical changes because the historic building is about to be heritage listed.
This narrowed down the options for the Triptyque team of architects but their approach was to give the interiors a modern makeover that would showcase the gallery owner’s Art Déco collection. They mainly focused on restoring visual harmony, particularly in the vertical connections, making simple, neutral changes that also give visitors a direction.
The images say it all: their well thought-out and subtle interior design meets the client’s needs, with a well-balanced visual impact that sets off the collections exhibited.
