The Italian Pavilion: Shanghai Italian Center comes back to life with an exhibition on everything made in Italy: art, craftsmanship, design and technology.

Tradition and Innovation - Italy in China exhibition
During Expo 2010 in Shanghai, the Italian Pavilion designed by architect Giampaolo Imbrighi registered about 10,000,000 visitors and was the second most visited pavilion at the fair.

After the end of the Expo, the Italian government donated the structure to China to become the focus of the Shanghai Italian Center, a cultural and educational facility operated by the Shanghai Expo Group.
To encourage cultural exchange between Italy and China, over the next three years the pavilion will host three exhibitions organised in partnership with the Triennale in Milan.

The first exhibition, "Tradition and Innovation ? Italy in China?, will present Italian art, craftsmanship, fashion, design and technology in relation to Chinese culture, seeking common values in the two countries? uses of certain materials and approach to innovation.
The exhibition will be divided into 7 sections presenting Italian excellence in different areas.
