The Yuangping Meijing Bookstore acts as a catalyst to rethink the image and atmosphere of the existing retail area and brings a breath of culture to boost the attraction of the structure.

gmp completes Silk Road International Conference Center in Xi'an

The new conference center, designed by gmp architects practice, was completed at the end of July in Xi’an. More than 3100 years old, this ancient Chinese city is located at the easternmost point of the ancient Silk Road. The practice founded by architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners won the 2017 competition to design the conference center which, together with their design for a dedicated Silk Road exhibition center, form a trade and industry hub in the province of Shaanxi.

Arsenal 809, originally a gas mask factory, is now a resort, but all the signs of its history have been preserved in the functional redevelopment of the complex, while a new lobby symbolises the transition from past to present.

AOE completes One Sino Park for Sunac in Beijing

Property giant Sunac, which operates in China, called upon architecture firm AOE to bring its latest project to life: One Sino Park. The development is a complex combining offices, sport and culture, with a surface area of 3000m2 spread over four floors. Completed in May of this year in Yubei District, Chongqing, the building - which stands on the steep slope of a hill - blends complex forms and materials, creating a whole which is light, dynamic, varied and contemporary.

In Anklam, Germany, German firm Tchoban Voss Architekten has recently completed an interesting project: a residential and commercial building with three gables marked out with three different colours, making for an architecture that will cut an impressive figure in the historical centre.
