THG Arkitektar produces an elegant fusion of the historical with the contemporary for the Iceland Parliament Hotel, Reykjavik

In the heart of Reykjavik, in the cold, majestic Icelandic landscape, stands a new symbol of luxury and refinement: the Iceland Parliament Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. THG Arkitektar’s extraordinary architectural project is much more than just a luxury hotel; it is a work of art that captures Iceland’s soul and history, making architecture and design into a powerful story, to which a major contribution is made by the ceramic surfaces of Iris Ceramica Group brands Ariostea, FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, Iris Ceramica and SapienStone.

With its spectacular façades designed by Henning Larsen Architects and Olafur Eliasson, the building stands out like a big light sculpture, adding new character to the harbour area and linking it with the city centre.
