An observation point over the landscape: La Tierce by Atelier BOOM-TOWN

La Tierce is a residence designed by Canadian architectural practice Atelier BOOM-TOWN on the edge of a lake in the Laurentides Mountains, in Quebec, Canada. Taking full advantage of the site and the sloping lot on which it is built, the house establishes a highly various relationship with the landscape. The position and deployment of the residential volumes permits a number of panoramic views over the lake and interesting glimpses of the natural landscape outside.

ADHOC Architectes & Prisme Architecture have designed the new Nautical Centre in Baie-de-Valois, which completes the city of Pointe-Claire's urban park redevelopment program. Inspired by the geological layering of the surrounding landscape and clad in wood, to echo the rhythm of the trunks of the nearby forest, the new building also offers services to citizens that also support the water sports activities available in Lake Saint-Louis.

Eleven Canadian projects have been awarded the Prix d’excellence en architecture 2021, announced by the Ordre des architectes du Québec during an online gala held on April 1. The Grand Prix d’excellence en architecture 2021 and the ā€˜Prix du publicā€™ (Peopleā€™s Choice) were presented to the renovation of the Grand Théâtre de Québec, by architectural studio Lemay and Atelier 21, who brought new life to a theatre designed by architect Victor Prus and opened in 1971.
