Casa Lana and Ettore Sottsass. Struttura e colore exhibition at Triennale Milano

On December Triennale Milano opened a new exhibition hall on the first floor of the Palazzo dell'Arte and a new exhibition about the work of architect and designer Ettore Sottsass. The permanent exhibition in the hall contains a reconstructed interior from Casa Lana, a private residence Ettore Sottsass designed in Milan around the mid-1960s. The temporary exhibition “Ettore Sottsass. Struttura e colore (Ettore Sottsass. Structure and colour)” continues until 10 April 2022.

ADI DESIGN INDEX 2021 preparing for the 27th Compasso d'Oro award

On October 27, ADI Design Museum in Milan saw the presentation of the 233 products selected for the ADI Design Index 2021, the exhibition held by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory presenting a selection of the best products of Italian design shortlisted for the 27th Compasso d'Oro award, due to be awarded in 2022. The exhibition was inaugurated in Milan, where it will stay until November 7 before moving on to Rome.

pietro Lingeri exhibition - Abstraction and construction Triennale Milano

An exhibition dedicated to the works of architect Pietro Lingeri (1894-1968), curated by Gabriele Neri and staged by Onsitestudio, is currently running at the Milan Triennale until 21 November. The initiative is part of the process of enhancing and promoting the work of the great masters that the Triennale Milano has implemented for some years now. To coincide with the celebrations for the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, the exhibition also includes design drawings and the original model of the famous Danteum, a work Ligeri designed together with Terragni and that was never built.

"10 Journeys through Italian Architecture" exhibition at Triennale di Milano

At the Triennale di Milano, an exhibition opened its doors to the public on October 1, to tell the story of Italy’s contemporary architectural heritage through photographs taken along 10 routes that cross the Italian peninsula. The images were captured by photographers under 40 and are part of an initiative promoted by the Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea (DGCC) of the Italian Ministry of Culture, which implements the Atlante Architettura Contemporanea platform.

Asti Architetti redesigns and redevelops a part of the city in Milan

The Asti Architetti studio has designed the redevelopment of an important urban block in the city of Milan. The project, “il Cortile della Seta” involved a typical courtyard building located between Via Moscova and Via Solferino. The architects redesigned the street front of the four above-ground levels, the covered courtyard and the new glass roof.
