Snøhetta renovates the Natural History Museum in Lille

The Natural History Museum in Lille is about to undergo a major metamorphosis, thanks to the project created by the Snøhetta studio. The renovation and extension of the building will significantly increase the space available to the public and to exhibitions, offer a new museum route, as well as bring the facility up to current safety standards and strengthen the museum's image on a local, national and international level.

Lipsky+Rollet architectes designed EKLA, a large mixed-use complex in Lille. Architects Florence Lipsky and Pascal Rollet conceived of EKLA as an inhabited island consisting of three residential buildings, including a 17-floor tower, offices, commercial spaces, a carpark and other services for residents.

In Lille, the new building hosting the Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat (Chamber of Trades and Crafts) designed by the Dutch studio KAAN Architecten in collaboration with French firm PRANLAS-DESCOURS architect & associates (PDAA), stands as the new gateway to the city, interacting with both the urban fabric of the building development started in the 1980s and the surrounding landscape.
