Objects of Desire: Surrealism inspires design

Terra, 6th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale

Last weekend the 6th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, curated by Cristina Verissimo and Diogo Burnay, opened its doors to the public. The theme chosen for this edition is Terra, a clear reference to the fact that we, a multitude of different realities, all live on one and the same planet. The Triennale aims to be a call-to-action, as well as to illustrate the multiplicity of methodologies available to face current and future challenges with architecture.

Exhibition against demolitions and waste in construction

At the S AM, Schweizer Architekturmuseum - Swiss Museum of Architecture in Basel, the exhibition entitled "Die Schweiz: Ein Abriss", curated by Countdown 2030 recently opened its doors to the public. A look into the Swiss demolition culture that generates more than 500 kg of construction waste per second and accounts for 84% of waste in Switzerland. Can we counteract this waste of energy embedded in the architectural heritage?

Impossible Dialogues, a project by Claudia Storelli

Architect Claudia Storelli presents the event and exhibition “Impossible Dialogues” in the historic centre of Bisceglie, in Puglia. Her art project establishing apparently impossible dialogues between two different works of art first began on the internet, but now comes to one of the narrow lanes of the artist’s hometown, in the attempt to establish a new dialogue between the citizenry and an abandoned part of the town centre.

Superfici d'autore and Corpi di luce on exhibition at MIC in Faenza

In "Corpi di Luce", photography and film join forces to present the Luce collection created by the Iris Ceramica Group with stylist and designer Guillermo Mariotto: an original concept combining the idioms of architecture and art which the Iris Ceramica Group has chosen for its participation in Superfici d'autore 2022, an exhibition at MIC International Ceramics Museum in Faenza drawing public attention to the research and excellence of a number of Italian companies in partnership with designers from all over the world.

The FLUGT museum experience by Tinker Imagineers
