Building for community, smartvoll in Großweikersdorf, Austria

In 2017 the Austrian architecture firm smartvoll won the competition to build the new civic centre in Großweikersorf, a small town in Lower Austria. The architecture completed in 2020 draws inspiration from local traditions and offers a physical meeting point for all citizens.

At Jundiaí, in the hinterland of Sao Paulo in Brazil, the Reinach Mendonça Arquitetos Associados firm has designed the social club of a luxury residential condominium. The architects designed a building that provides sweeping views of the landscape, highlighting the beauty of the location: a natural slope near a lake surrounded by a forest.

MAD presents plans for Jiaxing Civic Centre

MAD has presented a new project for the city of Jiaxing: after the railway station, the team led by architect Ma Yansong has designed a new civic centre for the Chinese city. The project will complete an important area in the city of great value for its landscape with the addition of a Museum of Science and Technology and two activity centres for women, children and youth.
