AGi architects Wafra Wind Tower, new types of urban residences in Kuwait

The Wafra Wind Tower project by AGi architects has been shortlisted for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2022. The 13-storey building has been designed as a wind tower. It is traversed by a vertical central courtyard that provides natural ventilation to all housing units, and represents a reinterpretation of typical Kuwaiti urban residential typologies.

Architectures in Indonesia: a micro-library and a residence

Two works have been selected in Indonesia for the 2019 edition of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, to compete for the $ 1 million prize that will be awarded to the winner: the Taman Bima Microlibrary in Bandung designed by Shau Architects, an interesting project that aims to support literacy, and the home of an architect, the AM Residence designed by Andramatin Architect and built in Jakarta, inspired by traditional Indonesian architecture.
