The Esplanade Tranquille du Quartier des Spectacles is a project recently completed by the Canadian FABG Architects studio, located in the heart of Montreal's entertainment district. The project consists of a building, a pedestrian walk and a public square that connects several key cultural institutions, including the Place des Arts, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal and the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde.

Architecture Drawing Prize 2022, the overall winner and the exhibition

The overall winner of the Architecture Drawing Prize 2022 was announced yesterday by World Architecture Festival co-curators Make Architects and Sir John Soane's Museum. The hybrid drawing entitled 'Fitzroy Food Institute' by Samuel Wen and Michael Ren combines different rendering techniques. The exhibition with the winning and shortlisted drawings exhibition opens on 8 February at the Sir John Soane's Museum in London.

Through the work, the photographer has collected impressions inspired by the careful observation of Berlin’s urban landmarks, with particular attention to the geometries of the architectures, thus revealing details that are often lost when walking around the city.
