Farewell to Superstudio founder Adolfo Natalini

Architect Adolfo Natalini has died in Florence at the age of 78. A pioneer of radical architecture, one of the most important avant-garde movements of the sixties and seventies, he founded Superstudio with Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, who died in 2019. Natalini worked on prestigious projects all over the world, including the expansion of the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Florence and Novoli university campus.

LEVENSLICHT, an installation by Studio Roosegaarde to commemorate Shoah

To mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of German Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz, the international symbol of the Holocaust - or Shoah - a national artwork has been specially created for the occasion in the Netherlands: Levenslicht, by the artist Daan Roosegaarde.

Drawing the drought by Luzinterruptus

Luzinterruptus, the Spanish creative collective was in Sierra de Guadarrama, where they created a small environmental lighting installation that they call an act of artistic guerrilla warfare. A creative, temporary action resulting from the observation of this drought-ridden landscape, interpreted with the use of light.

Hariri Pontarini Architects winner of the 2019 RAIC International Prize

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) announced the Baha’i Temple of South America in Santiago, Chile as the winner of the 2019 RAIC International Prize. The architects are Hariri Pontarini Architects of Toronto, Canada.

Golden Pin Design Award and Golden Pin Concept Design Award 2019 finalists

The Golden Pin Design Award and Golden Pin Concept Design Award 2019 finalists announce a total of 71 finalists. The selected projects and products are distinguished by their sustainability, ranging from raw materials to possible repurposing. These finalists are all in the running to win the Best Design at the award ceremony in Taipei on 5 December.

Ppa + Encore Heureux: Pratgraussals Events Hall in Albi

The new Pratgraussals Events Hall is part of the redevelopment project of the right bank of the river Tarn, in the French town of Albi. Ppa Architectures and Encore Heureux, winners of the 2016 call for tenders, designed an events hall based on the principles of modularity and flexibility.
