Socialna Poistovna Use of innovative materials such as industrially produced marble and granite in the ventilated walls is motivated not only by the materials' perfect compliance with the project specifications, but by the reduced weight of these slabs in comparison with natural stone, making construction more economical.
The versatility and resistance to stress of these materials permitted use in the outdoor staircase leading to the upper floor, and in the columns supporting the elegant arches of the arcade on the sides of the building.

The town of Poprad, one of the ten biggest cities in Slovakia, is located at the foot of the magnificent Tatra Mountains, one of Europe's highest mountain ranges.
Tatra National Park, Slovakia's oldest and largest park, was established in 1949 to preserve one of central Europe's greatest natural treasures.
Poprad is the region's administrative, economic and cultural centre.
