New Twins glows with travertine yellow

A brand’s contemporary feel is matched by the image it projects of itself among the public. In the new Avio plant, FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti floor and wall tiles represent the identity and symbolise the dynamic face of Calzedonia's production.

New Twins glows with travertine yellow Parallel to the Brennero motorway, the main facade of the New Twins building is a landmark, a sign that stands out clearly even when driving by at highway speed: the wall is designed with a ventilated facade of 120x60 Persiano giallo tiles from FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti to add importance and prestige using a material that combines the features of resistance to external agents such as frost, abrasion and chemical products with highly characteristic aesthetic and chromatic qualities. White speckles and numerous veins make the golden background colour of the tiles glow, so that Persiano giallo man-made stone adds a touch of life to the complex.
Inside, four large production areas share the same thick flooring of Crystal naturale 30x30 ceramic by FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, a particularly uniform monochrome material chosen to give an airy feel to this industrial environment while offering the required resistance to wear. An underfloor heating system is installed in these areas.
At the front of the plant, the ventilated facade of the office building is completed with a large pane of glass to make the most of natural lighting: this choice of opening up the building towards the entrance and towards its surroundings is symbolic of the brand’s dynamic image on the market.

The office area represents the heart of the business.
The architects characterised different elements of the interior with the same material, FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s technical ceramics, to create an image of strength and cohesion; all the flooring on different levels, including the halls and working areas, is made with Jura gold man-made stone in the 60x60 size, a golden colour with hazelnut highlights which is extremely bright, well-suited to a place like this office area where there is a lot going on and a lot of people passing through. The presence of long curved plywood beams on the ceiling suggested that the basic golden hue be enriched with darker details, produced with Brown stone extra shine man-made stone by FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, decorating the reception counter and the two stairways. The counter is made of Brown stone extra shine with a Jura gold top; a backlit New Twins logo appears on the Jura gold surface.
The brick stairway and the big spiral staircase that focus the attention of visitors coming in from the hall are also finished in a combination of Jura gold and Brown stone, but designed with custom-made elements that add a unique touch such as the Jura gold bullnose edge on the steps. The spiral staircase, with FMG tiles on both the tread side and the back, is made particularly precious and evocative by the two-coloured design of the tiles, accompanying its shape and underlining its spiralling motion.
