An exhibition of flying houses in Paris: the dreamy architectures of Laurent Chéhère’s computer-manipulated photographs.

Mostra Flying Houses by Laurent Chéhère

A series of surreal works produced by Laurent Chéhère through computer manipulation of ordinary photographs is on exhibit at Galerie Paris Beijing in Paris.

Laurent Chéhère starts out by selecting buildings and constructions to be immortalised from among the homes in the Belleville and Ménilmontant districts of Paris.
Laurent Chéhère gives the buildings a new point of view, making them into a metaphor of today?s world. Flying houses rise into the air like kites, tied to thin wires like the strings of the balloons in the famous 1956 short film Le Ballon rouge (The Red Balloon) directed by Albert Lamorisse, which the artist identifies as his source of inspiration.
