The winners of the International Dedalo Minosse Prize for Commissioning a Building 2014 have been announced, including not only the 4 main awards but 8 special prizes and 12 special mentions.



International Dedalo Minosse Prize for Commissioning a Building 2014

On October 27 the winners of the International Dedalo Minosse Prize for Commissioning a Building were announced. The four main prizes go to the following projects:
- Villa Kogelhof by Paul de Ruiter Architects, client Ton Zwijnenburg
- Sugamo Shinkin Bank Series (Tokiwadai, Shimura, Ekoda Branches) by Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture + Design, client Sugamo Shinkin Bank
- Salewa Headquarters by Park Associati – Cino Zucchi Architetti client Salewa – Oberalp S.p.A.
- A2M social Housing by Nunzio Gabriele Sciveres, M. Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo (preliminary design), client Alba 2000 building cooperative.

The projects submitted demonstrated growing participation of architects under 40, representing more than 30% of the entrants in 2014, and there were also big names from the international architecture scene such as Odile Decq, Peter Eisenmann, Park Associati, Cino Zucchi, Paul de Ruiter, Katsfumi Kubota and Labics.

Event sponsor Graniti Fiandre assigned one of the 8 special mentions, to the Corujas Building project by FGMF Architects for client Idea Zarvos.
