H ARQUITECTES + dataAE, Student Housing in Sant Cugat

The student housing designed by H ARQUITECTES + dataAE architectural studios consists of two buildings parallel to the street, separated by a central foyer.
The foyer is an intermediate space required to create a bioclimatic environment that helps improve the complex?s energy efficiency.

The new project attempts to establish a balance between new and existing constructions; the buildings that make it up repeat a single prefabricated unit made in the factory to a design by the architects of H ARQUITECTES and dataAE.

The residential unit has no dividing walls, and simply consists of the basic permanent elements, with simplified technical installations and finishes. Each component is installed or assembled dry, all with the aim of creating modules that can easily be dismantled and reused or recycled.
