Guggenheim Helsinki Design Competition 6 finalists

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation has published the first images of the 6 finalists in the Guggenheim Helsinki Design Competition, from which the judges will select the new Helsinki Guggenheim Museum.
The 6 finalists are architectural studios: AGPS Architecture Ltd., Asif Khan Ltd., Fake Industries Architectural Agonism, Haas Cook Zemmrich STUDIO2050, Moreau Kusunoki Architectes and SMAR Architecture Studio.

While we wait for the results of the Guggenheim Helsinki Design Competition, on 25 April 2015 an exhibition will open at the Kunsthalle in Helsinki entitled Guggenheim Helsinki Now, presenting the 6 finalists and the 15 projects awarded honourable mentions in the competition.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of events and conferences, specific installations and 3D models intended for an audience of all ages, demonstrating the possible future appearance of the Helsinki waterfront.
Ari Wiseman, deputy director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, notes that with this exhibition, the Helsinki Guggenheim joins the debate on contemporary architecture and the museum’s role in the 21st century even before it becomes reality.
