The second GREENHOUSE TALK is scheduled for June 5 and 6 2014 at Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal in Venice.
Promoted by the Dutch Embassy in Rome and presented by Hans Ibelings, editor-in-chief of The Architecture Observer, GREENHOUSE TALK promotes international encounters among architecture professionals to discuss key issues in the evolution of architecture.
The issues to be addressed during the second edition of the event are Fundamentals #1. What will be the future of the architectural profession? and Fundamentals #2. Representation of architecture.The meetings will see the participation of architects and architecture historians and critics from all over the world. The first meeting, Fundamentals #1. What will be the future of the architectural profession?, scheduled for June 5 2014, will be attended by: Joe Osae-Addo (Constructs LLC, Accra, Ghana), Bijoy Jian (Studio Mumbai, Mumbai, India), Nanne de Ru (Powerhouse Company, Rotterdam, the Netherlands), Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen (Pezo von Ellrichshausen Architects, Concepción, Chile), Daan Roosegaarde (Studio Roosegaarde, Waddinxveen, the Netherlands), Ma Yansong (MAD Architects, Beijing, China) and Cino Zucchi (Cino Zucchi Architetti, Milan, Italy).
On June 6 2014 Fundamentals #2. Representation of architecture will focus on new approaches to the representation of architecture: Guus Beumer (Het Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam), Giovanna Borasi (Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montreal), Ole Bouman (Shenzhen Biennale), Pippo Ciorra (MAXXI, Rome), Aric Chen (M+, Hong Kong), Reinier de Graaf (AMO, Rotterdam), Michelle Provoost (Crimson Architectural Historians, Rotterdam).
