Green school building in Padua

Architect Danilo Turato of Tecnostudio and Masma Architetti Associati have come up with a "green" plan for the new "Giovanni Pascoli" elementary school in Rubano.
Green in that the new building is designed in compliance with current legislation concerning the fixtures and functions of space in the school, but with a special focus on technical and design solutions that make it possible to cut operating costs, ensure sustainability and save energy.
The school has installations for generating energy (photovoltaic) and cutting consumption (underfloor heating, condensation boiler and air conditioning system with a variable refrigerant volume - VRV) but also architectural solutions such as ventilated façades on the eastern and western walls to ensure greater comfort in the classroom.
