GRANITIFIANDRE: AB Best Company award
The magazineAB Abitare il bagno promoted the first AB Best Company award recognising excellence in bathrooms, with the direct involvement of retailers, who were asked to express their preferences in various market sectors (furnishings, radiators, coverings, faucets, bathroom fittings and wellness).

The prize is awarded in 9 categories ranging from technical and commercial support for retailers, public relations tools (websites, catalogues) and 2 categories for the best products, assessed in terms of l’innovation and design.

Distributors recognised GranitiFiandre’s Maximum series as the most innovative product of the year. Maximum is a line of top of the range porcelain stoneware produced by GranitiFiandre as an alternative to natural quarried marble and granite.
Maximum’s innovative size, 300x150 cm, that is, 4.5 m2 and only 3 mm thick, makes it the largest unit ever to be made out of high-tech ceramics.
Maximum combines the classic, well-known features of GranitiFiandre porcelain stoneware with top performance in terms of resistance, light weight, flexibility and ductility.
Its large size and smooth finish gives the material unrivalled brilliance.

The winners of the first AB Best Company awards were announced in the April 2012 issue of AB Abitare il bagno, distributed at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Commenting on the news, GranitiFiandre President and CEO and Iris Ceramica CEO Graziano Verdi noted that Maximum is "the product of our group’s major investment in continuing to come up with new materials which innovate in terms of both aesthetics and technology” and that it was only natural that French architect Odile Decq should have chosen Maximum "for its extraordinary potential for design and architecture permitting unlimited application solutions" for the installation presented by GranitiFiandre at FuoriSalone in Milan.
