In France architecture is entering the classroom
In France the Pays de la Loire are the pilot region where the first national Architecture in the classroom Day ” (Journée nationale de l'architecture dans les classes), will be held. It is an activity that will be extended throughout the country starting in 2017. Planned in the framework of a national strategy in support of architecture “the national Architecture in the CLassroom Day” includes a double lesson held jointly by an architect and a teacher who, with ad hoc created pedagogical kits will sensitize schoolchildren about architectural topics and, more in general, gaining possession of one's own daily space
.
This is an opportunity to rediscover some examples of architecture created in France and recently published on the pages of Floornature. Let us start with
In La Seyne-sur-Mer, the firm Data Architectes designed the new recreation and cultural centre in the area of the former shipyards, in continuity with the Le Parc de la Navale, the new town park. In Saint Louis, in Alsace, Le Forum, a multi-function centre for shows and sports events, designed by Manuelle Gautrand Architecture, translates the need to fit into the context and to compose spaces of heterogeneous sizes into a play on volumes
