The fund raising drive for families affected by the May 2012 earthquake in Emilia, organised by the Italian branch of the Royal Photographic Society, CIRPS, and sponsored by the international architecture Web portal Floornature, has ended.

A positive result for the fund raising drive organised by theItalian Branch of the Royal Photographic Society, CIRPS (www.rps-italy.org), and Officine International, sponsored, among others, by Floornature, the Web portal of reference for international architecture and design, which wanted to give a practical sign of its participation in rebuilding the area hit by the 2012 earthquake, where its main office is based.

Important names in photography donated their work, includingVasco Ascolini, Davide Monteleone and Angelo Turetta.
The initiative had two main events anda guest of honourOlympic Gold medallist for wrestling at Beijing 2008 Andrea Minguzzi, from Emilia Romagna.

On 21st February at Gallerie VISIVA - La città dell’immagine” in Rome, Sotheby’s auctioned 32 photographs chosen by an international commissionheaded byOlivio Argenti, CIRPS president, free of charge.
The same day saw the opening of an exhibition of over sixty photographs, which ended on 8th March with the sale of the works on display.
Funds were donated to the Modena Caritas , to help families affected by the earthquake and the Francesca Rava Foundation- NPH Italia Onlus, to complete the rebuilding of ?La Lucciola? Integrated Therapy Centre for Children in Stuffione di Ravarino (MO).
