On May 5 FAB Architectural Bureau Milano, the multipurpose exhibition space run by Fiandre and Porcelaingres, hosted the first of five events planned for 2016, presented by Paolo Schianchi, architect, university professor and editor-in-chief of the architecture and design portal Floornature.com
The first One Night event focused on "Communication", paying homage to Grazia Gamberoni and Oscar G. Colli, prominent figures in the field of publications about the bathroom.
The set-up in the hall, created using Fiandre maxi slabs transformed into hypothetical rotating planes, documented the work in publishing of Grazia Gamberoni and Oscar G. Colli with blow-up prints of particularly significant pages and advertisements from "Il bagno" magazine.
The subtitle of the series, “The silent revolution in Italian publishing”, represents the magazine’s significance in the world of publishing, ushering in a true revolution that transformed the “bathroom” from a “utility area” or “accessory space” in the home into an environment in its own right, to be lived in and designed down to the tiniest detail. The evening featured an enjoyable conversation among curators Paolo Schianchi and Mara Corradi and guests Grazia Gamberoni, Oscar G. Colli and designer Ambrogio Rossari, introduced by Thea Campioli of Fiandre. There was even a little surprise, a video message from Andreas Dornbracht expressing an important company’s point of view on the work of Gamberoni and Colli, a particularly moving moment for everyone present.
