The vocational school designed in 1993 by Catalan architects Carlos Ferrater and Joan Guibernau in Lloret de Mar was completed in 1996 and took about two years to build.

Ferrater & Guibernau: vocational school in Lloret de Mar, Spain, 1993-1996 Ferrater allows no room for gaps or doubts, something which is common in the first drafts of a project when compared with the final result. And the architect dedicates great care to detail and to selection of materials, looking for original ways of treating surfaces.
These characteristics can easily be seen in his other projects, such as the Fulla home and the Fregoli building.
Ferrater produces traditional buildings and architecture which has had a great impact in Spain, and has been appointed to projects of great international prominence.
His originality lies in his ability to combine modern style with the peculiarities of regional style.
