The Copenhagen Concert Hall in the Danish capitalÂ’s new residential and commercial district is finally open after six years of work.

Copenhagen Concert Hall - Jean Nouvel The new seat of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra is a 5 thousand square metre parallelepiped with a 1800 seat main hall: a Danish design by
Pritzker prize winner Jean Nouvel.
Covered with a grid of blue metal, the building is made entirely out of metal and cement, and its façade comes to life at night with video clips and images.
"The blue screen has always been a symbol of both emptiness and possibility in the world of film," Nouvel explained to L'espresso magazine. "On tv it is used as a background which can be replaced by any other image. I chose it to dress up my building. At night it will be covered with pictures of musicians: jazz, classical or rock. Images that tell us what is going on inside".
