The concept for the design of the new JVC Entertainment and Commercial Center in Guadalajara, Mexico, is based on the ideology of redefining the meaning of entertainment in the 21st century.

The development, production and distribution of goods and services have become more and more based on knowledge. This trend results in an increased demand for highly qualified individuals and an increased importance of knowledge management in businesses. The flow of knowledge therefore becomes crucial in determining the performance of a society.
The design proposal for the JVC Entertainment and Commercial Center redefines entertainment from a place of mere consumption to a place of intellectual discourse.
This "marketplace of the future" combines well known forms of entertainment and commerce with new facilities based on the production and exchange of knowledge.
In this process the health of body and mind is seen as crucial and results in the proposal of facilities for physical and mental well being. The proposed program elements therefore consist of cinemas, exclusive restaurants, bars and clubs, shops, a fitness and pool area, offices for the research and development of technology and the space of knowledge.
This animated exhibition space will display information on recent technological innovations.
