COOP HIMMELB(L)AU: 7+ architecture exhibition

Aedes marks the 70th birthday of architect Wolf D. Prix with an exhibition on the work of COOP HIMMELB(L)AU.

The theme of the exhibition is the number 7: the architect?s 70 years, the 7 projects on exhibit, and the number 7 recurrent in the exhibition concept.
The projects on display were selected by Wolf D. Prix himself because of their key role in his career. The exhibition offers a retrospective of the architect?s career over more than 40 years and a number of predictions about the studio?s future.
The exhibition starts with the "Cloud" project which brought COOP HIMMELB(L)AU to the world?s attention and continues up to the studio?s most recent projects, such as the Dalian International Conference Centre built in China or the new European Central Bank building in Frankfurt.

Large photographs, models, drawings and sketches of the projects and computer animations draw visitors? attention to the 7 selected projects and represent the methodology and theoretical roots behind the work of COOP HIMMELB(L)AU and Wolf D. Prix.
