Cino Zucchi,

Designed in the late '50s by Amedeo Albertini, "Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia" Automobile Museum is to undergo a restyling involving expansion of its exhibition spaces.

Cino Zucchi, Automobile Museum.<br> Turin, 2005 Zucchi's project is characterised by an ability to combine renewal with careful attention to the relationship between existing and new parts, united by an approach to design capable of making the most of the complex and giving it great unity.
The new museum, expected to attract about 250,000 people a year, will also host conventions and educational events, adding new life to its urban context and contributing to the renewal of southern Turin. The auditorium and teaching laboratories are designed for use either independently or in connection with the museum and the restaurant.

The work is due to begin after the Olympics and be completed in 2007. The cost of the project has been estimated at about 28 million euros, to be paid by the Municipality of Turin - (about 17), and the Automobile Club of Italy (Aci), the Province of Turin, the Region of Piedmont and Crt and San Paolo bank foundations.
