Porcelain tiles for contemporary spaces

Covering surfaces in contemporary spaces is above all a matter of characterising them and identifying them according to one’s own personal taste, giving them an original, cosy feel.
When designing a space in the home or office in contemporary style, it is best to start with carefully chosen top quality materials for covering the floors and walls. The quality of the covering materials, like that of the furniture, is the focus of contemporary designs. In an attempt to combine beauty with practicality, porcelain offers the market the ideal covering products for contemporary spaces of all kinds.

In one of Europe’s most advanced production facilities, with "a cutting-edge production system based on principles of sustainability", Porcelaingres produces a vast choice of porcelain tiles of top technical and aesthetic quality responding to all architectural and design requirements. Porcelaingres begins its production process with carefully chosen raw materials, creating collections of high-tech porcelain tiles that range from a traditional look to the most refined and sophisticated styles, such as wood effect tiles and many different kinds of natural stone.
Here we have selected a series of images of living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms clearly demonstrating how the right combination of porcelain flooring materials and contemporary interior design can create spaces that perfectly respond to the needs of our everyday lives. The apparent simplicity of the whole reveals the power of detail and the colours of porcelain flooring, which, in the Radical, Great Metals and Urban collections, among others, explore the potential of the basic materials used to create contemporary atmospheres.

Urban is, as its name suggests, a dynamic material for "city life". Roads, landscapes, glass, steel and concrete provide the inspiration for a form of design inspired by the fundamental materials of modernity.
These are tiles with surfaces that reflect elements of what we see every day, recalling the stability and power of modern architecture. Porcelain slabs from the Radical collection create surfaces that look like sheet metal with flares of rust, with a “lived-in” look explicitly recalling industrial architecture. Radical is designed for the modern home, but also for public spaces, offices and workplaces of all kinds. Radical stands out from traditional interior floor and wall coverings for its ability to be combined with a variety of alternative materials and potential contrasts with elements of interior design. An even bolder line is Great Metals, with Just Great representing the new generation of maxi-slabs from Porcelaingres, measuring up to 300x150 cm and only 6 cm thick.
A material comparable to a design object, in view of its versatility, not only for covering floors and walls but "for designing backdrops, covering modern hobs or becoming a precious decorative element". Recalling the aesthetic power of industrial metallurgy, Great Metals offer another alternative for contemporary surfaces, thanks "to the “corten” effect created by Oxidum, the minimalism of Steel, the radiance of White Iron and the refinement of Zinc Titanium".
