MegaMicro: versatile formats for contemporary spaces
The innovative MegaMicro format by Eiffelgres enhances any type of floor and any residential or commercial covering, thanks to the versatility of its “mega” size (3m x 1.5m of surface area) together with its “micro” thickness (6 mm). Design research into the best products for modern surfaces is focused on innovative high tech and high performance materials, which are also aesthetically expressive. Above all, contemporary floors and coverings must evoke and stimulate the "emotions of the senses", using echoes of tradition and familiarity. Porcelain stoneware is the perfect material for floors and wall coverings, due to its material features and the aesthetic qualities expressed during production and laying.
Highly resistant to flexion and deep abrasion, to chemicals, thermal shock and light (making it also ideal for outdoor flooring), high tech porcelain stoneware tiles offer versatility for contemporary surfaces that is unequalled in today’s market. Eiffelgres creates porcelain stoneware tile collections whose mission is research, "design quality, poetry and care for the environment". Eiffelgres offers design quality through a wide range of effects that enhance materials and quarried stone, focussing on "the movement of light from every angle, from direct to oblique light", showing every vein of porcelain stoneware tiling to best effect. As the name of the 5 collections (Layer, Cor-ten, Folios and the new Alchemy and Forest) suggests, this is a contemporary solution of porcelain stoneware tiles with the largest sizes in production: a surface area of 3000 mm x 1500 mm just 6 mm thick.
MegaMicro meets the flooring needs of contemporary, residential, commercial and public buildings. Spaces covered with MegaMicro display the overall harmony of an environment and the uniformity of light and colour to its best advantage, virtually eliminating the need for grouting.
The individual details of the collections are optimised and these include 5 colour variations in the newMM_Forest, which offers the warm, natural tones of wood, and MM_Alchemy, inspired by the colours of the earth, which suggests the original effects of time and nature on natural stone.
