For the first time, the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan will be transformed into a large Cultural Souk for eight days thanks to the “The Factory of Dialogue” and introducing an experience like the Souk Festival in Genoa - a wonderful intercultural showcase on the theme of integration held since 1999. 
The Fabbrica del Vapore, is the heart of the Milan Design Week for “green” issues and also the hub which hosts various organisations, studios and professional people working in the cultural sector, as we discovered during our visit this summer.
The cultural initiative, “The Milan Cultural Souk”, launched by the Milan Municipality, social-cultural association Sunugal and Maschere Nere theatrical workshop, both based in the Fabbrica del Vapore itself and Chance Eventi - Suq Genova offers creative courses, artistic workshops and a large people's bazaar “to give the citizens an active role and promote the dialogue between culture and generations” from 29th September to 4th October 2015.
A week dedicated to participation and confrontation as the basis of civil coexistence open to all ages but particularly focused on schools. Loads of activities are presented from theatre to cookery, living to drawing, sewing and music - all totally in line with what is going on at EXPO 2015.
Of course the core of it all is strictly “green” since sustainability is the key theme, not only limited to environmental aspects but also aimed at intelligent energy usage and specific products placing special emphasis on the reduction and management of waste also extending into social structures.
This event is definitely to our liking and so Livegreenblog will pop by providing live reports from the Milan Cultural Souk which takes place between the Fabbrica del Vapore and the new MUDEC, Museum of Culture, not far from SpazioFMG in the Tortona area.
