Polygon Studio by Jeffery S. Poss + Workus LLC. Art and nature.
This project by Jeffery S. Poss and Workus LLC is located close to Lake George in the state of New York. A combined art studio and guest accommodation engaging closely with the surrounding nature.

A perfect blend of art and nature. Based on this principle, Polygon Studio is closely tied to the breathtaking landscape of Lake George, located in the south-eastern part of Adirondack State Park (New York), an exclusive summer tourist resort.

This small polygon-shaped building has been erected on the highest point of the property, not far from the banks of Lake George. The sculpture studio is on the ground floor and also occupies the vertical space under one of the gables, while the guest loft sits under its own gable and includes a deck, which gives tree-filtered views of the lake.

A great deal of thought has gone into the choice of materials. Locally-milled red cedar creates a warm, aromatic environment inside, and has also been used to clad the east and west sides of the building. The exterior cladding references the Adirondack rural vernacular.

Conversely, the gables and north end are wrapped in galvanized steel siding.

A small getaway in the woods that will give its users a real taste of nature and inspire their artworks.
