Natural beauty: the Pieknalia store by Hornowski Design. Eco-friendly cosmetics and sustainable interior design, a concept by Polish practice, Hornowski Design with an enchanting, green setting as the end result for a store in the Jewish district of Krakow.

Attractive and attainable are the words that come to mind when describing the interior design concept by Szymon Hornowksi of Hornowski Design  for Pieknalia, an eco-friendly cosmetics boutique. Everything at a sustainable cost, considering the negligible total outlay for the decorative and structural straw, naturally fireproofed for safety.

Straw bales are used as a decorative wall that contains minimal, white cut-out display shelves, which showcase the all-natural products like a dream.

The wooden planks used for the floor and the LED lighting accentuate the cosy atmosphere that runs through the whole project. A natural oasis in Kazimierz, Krakow’s Jewish district.
