Landscape and architecture: Casa 3 by Arquitectura en Estudio
The architects from Colombian firm, Arquitectura en Estudio have designed a house that from start to finish responds to the theme of the landscape as context and climate. The natural backdrop is the real star in this project.

The architects from Colombian firm, Arquitectura en Estudio have designed Casa 3, a summer house 100 km north of Bogotá, in an exceptionally beautiful natural setting.

Which is why the design choices are all oriented towards optimising use of the landscape, limiting the building itself to simple elements: a metal frame with bare concrete walls and floor-to-ceiling screens that open completely to the outdoors. Options that advance design sustainability.

The social spaces – living room and kitchen – blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, spilling out to the wet-edge pool and deck for great views over the landscape.

The bedrooms are located in a separate wing for privacy, and they too communicate with the lush vegetation.

Casa 3 is a building steeped in natur, which is the project’s true star.
