Design + Build Workshop, Cambodia 2014 Building Trust International is organising Design + Build Workshop in Cambodia from 15 to 29 November 2014. A great way to raise awareness and build sustainable projects with the participation of local communities.

The non-profit organisation, Building Trust International, which uses good design to drive social change, has launched a new workshop to be held in Cambodia from 15 to 29 November 2014. Two weeks dedicated to the practice of architecture, to the techniques of sustainable building in the Cambodian countryside, where Building Trust International is supervising a number of projects in collaboration with local communities, designing health clinics, schools and low-cost housing and projects for wildlife conservation.

A workshop that aims to improve the manual skills of participants, but where you can also learn how to manage a worksite, procure materials, work with the community and learn traditional techniques from locals, all in the name of environmental and social sustainability. Building Trust international has been requested by WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) to work with the local community in Tmatboey, in the north of Cambodia to design and construct a new lodge facility for WCS's well established eco-tourism project for birdwatching.

This is the third workshop for the year in Cambodia. The first one was dedicated to the landscaping and garden for the Kouk Khleang Youth Center, and during the second one a sustainable kiosk was built in the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre for Free the Bears.
