2015 TALA Awards, Bangsue EECC Project We continue our journey through the architecture of the Thai landscape through the 2015 TALA Awards. Today we're showcasing the Bang Sue Environmental Education and Conservation Center by Group Three Design Co. Ltd., a prototype for integrating natural and manmade environments.

Il Bang Sue Environmental Education and Conservation Center dello studio Group Three Design Co. Ltd. si è aggiudicato una menzione d'onore nella categoria “istituzionale” dei recenti 2015 TALA Awards, premio indetto dalla Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA).

The project is for an underground wastewater treatment plant and a public park as an outlet for the people of Bangkok.

The large main building (10x100x150 metres) becomes the linchpin of the landscape narrative. It has two facades, curved on the park side acting as the wall for a waterfall of treated water, and the street facing side that houses the offices.

The green areas around the building are all inspired by water as the feature and offer a series of aquatic gardens to make visitors more aware of the theme of water protection and conservation.

The Bang Sue Environmental Education and Conservation Center is a pilot project for this kind of underground water treatment plant in Southeast Asia. Group Three Design Co. Ltd. has proved that state-of-the-art technology, environmental protection and the needs of people can easily come together in a lush landscape that is a clear invitation to relax.
