Air as an essential element for the development of life in any form is Austria’s theme at Expo Milano 2015. The Austrian pavilion, entitled "breathe.austria", will be formed by planting a forest, a green oasis in the world’s fair.

The Austrian pavilion is more than "just" a tree planting project: it is an example of an urban project representing the country’s green policies. A cooling system obtained with irrigation circuits, nozzles for evaporation and for moistening green surfaces make it easy to maintain the right temperature with the typical smell of a forest; the project will be completed with a pool of water for collection of rainwater.
12 metre high trees will tower over many of the pavilions at Expo Milano 2015 and define its skyline.
