Arquitectos Ayala, Recorridos / Percorsi exhibition

Through these two "Recorridos / Percorsi" (Paths), the exhibition reveals studio Ayala?s way of "doing architecture", organised into two sections.

The first, "Architecture and Painting", is hosted by the Real Academia de España en Roma and includes all the studio?s work, from the early architectural projects and paintings of founder Gerardo Ayala Hernández to more recent architectural projects in collaboration with his sons Marcos and Mateo Ayala, presenting a total of 50 architectural projects from 1978 to the present and about 60 of Gerardo Ayala?s watercolours and acrylics.

The second section of the exhibition, "Architecture 1986 – 2012", at the Acquario Romano, looks at 7 projects selected from among the studio?s work since 1986.
Comparison of the studio?s projects is essential to underline the complex development of its design and the fact that the architects always work on a human scale, considering the real consistency of their projects rather than their abstract character.
