Aberdeen Mall The choice of flooring fell on Irisfmg slabs, thanks to their superior technical qualities: all floor surfaces were covered with man-made marbles, granites and travertines.
The flooring provides references to the idea inspiring the project, the desire to reveal the action going on inside the mall to the city, inside the mall with colour effects on all surfaces forming a sort of mosaic to frame the marvellous indoor fountain, with Verde Eucalipto from Irisfmg's Graniti collection in combination with Imperial White and Kashmir White, alternating all over the surfaces, with special effects created by laying schemes and water jet cutting.
The dining area was given a cosier feel with slabs of Persiano Rosso water jet cut to create soft lines, while in some parts of the mall the preference was for Grigio Carnico man-made marble, laid in the traditional manner, as if to create a path. The high pressure water jet cutting technique and the variety of colour schemes used help promote one of the project's basic messages: architecture is motion.
