Zaha Hadid 520 West 28th Street New York

Architect Zaha Hadid is working on her first project in New York: an 11 storey apartment building. Zaha Hadid?s project is intended to capture the spirit of its lively urban setting, between the High line and 28th Street in Chelsea in Manhattan.

One of the keys to the project, as Zaha Hadid herself explains, is the intention of giving each unit an identity of its own with different views over the neighbourhood. The overall impression is therefore one of volumes that flow into and integrate one another.

The building will have 11 floors and a total of 37 apartments, most of which will have their own private entrances and vestibules. The common areas include an entrance hall two storeys high, an outdoor garden, an indoor swimming pool, a wellness centre, entertainment areas and a games room.
