The winners of the MIPIM Awards

In the famous Gran Auditorium Louis Lumière at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, where all the movie stars congregate in May, the winners of the 27th MIPIM Awards were announced in a ceremony held on March 16.



The winners of the MIPIM Awards

12 projects, 11 first prizes, one in each category, plus the special prize of the jury, have won the 27th MIPIM Awards. The prizes were presented at MIPIM: Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier, held March 14 through 16, 2017 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes.


The special prize of the jury, chaired by John Forrester and including 11 prominent people from the real estate sector, was awarded to Beyazit State Library in Istanbul, Turkey by Tabanlioglu Architects. The judges acknowledged that the architects’ work was highly controlled and minimal to respect the historic value and spirit of the site, while at the same time providing the library with all today’s conveniences.
