Urban House, Between Vision and Reality - Porcelaingres at Cersaie 2017

Transferring the innovative, playful spirit of a young company like Porcelaingres to a stand and offering visitors a multisensory experience: these were the challenges faced by architect Irene Cogliano, who in partnership with the company’s marketing department designed Urban House, the stand at which the Iris Ceramica Group brand presented its new collections at Cersaie 2017

Urban House, Between Vision and Reality is the motto that encapsulates the ways in which Porcelaingres presented the new features of the 2017 collections of porcelain slabs Urban, Urban Great and Soft Concrete to the public.

The stand was divided into three themed areas. In the first, the Urban and Urban Great collections featured in the Urban Housevirtual project, presented in two interactive ways. Virtual reality simulators let visitors move through and explore rooms and spaces with floors, covering and furnishings created with Porcelaingres slabs in various thicknesses and sizes. The second was an ‘art’ installation created in partnership with the artist Colette Baraldi, where users could touch the Porcelaingres slabs. The touch technology behind the installation enabled a game of narration and discovery of the ceramic slabs in indoor and outdoor spaces.
The second themed area of the stand was dedicated to the outdoors. A pool of water and a cascade of greenery made the perfect setting to welcome visitors and show the evolution and potential of the ceramic material used for exteriors. Finally, the third display area was dedicated to theSoft Concrete collection and to "work in progress" collections, and contained a pop café where visitors could recharge their batteries and complete their sensory experience inside the Porcelaingres Urban House by
